ASHLAND – All four matchups between nationally-ranked individuals swung No. 16 Southern Oregon's way in the team's fifth upset dual win of the season, 24-15 over No. 11 Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) on Sunday at Bob Riehm Arena.

Two days after blowing out No. 3 Menlo (Calif.), the Raiders (9-3 overall) trailed the Eagles 15-7 before sweeping the last four weight classes. They stopped a four-dual losing streak against ERAU that dated back to the 2017-18 season.

Alex Hernandez, ranked No. 7 at 174, started the rally with a 7-3 decision over No. 11 Daniil Gorshkov in a match he trailed before pairing an escape with a takedown during the third period. Adrian Chavez-Morales accepted a forfeit at 184 before No. 14 Andrew Herrera (197) manhandled Jett Swain in a 22-4 technical fall and No. 25 Sebastian Echeverria (285) knocked off No. 22 Kenneth Copley, 13-6.

Top-ranked Evan Potter (141) won his 26th consecutive dual outing, 11-1 over No. 15 Carson Coy, but it was the Raiders' only triumph through the first four matches.
 
At 157, No. 13 Aaron Gandara cut a six-point deficit in half by breaking a tie with 26 seconds left on a takedown of No. 9 Sheldon Cole that led to a 4-1 decision. Keller Rock, ERAU's top-ranked 165-pounder, answered with a technical fall before SOU's comeback began in earnest.

The Raiders remained perfect in five home duals and have won nine of their last 10 going back to last season.

They're home again at 7 p.m. Thursday for their first-ever meeting with Cascade Conference newcomer Evergreen (Wash.).
