CALDWELL, Idaho – The Southern Oregon men's soccer team had to settle for a 0-0 draw with College of Idaho despite firing off 22 shots on Friday night at Simplot Stadium.
The Raiders' shot total was the highest they've produced without scoring in a game since 2018, and they doubled that of the Yotes. Six of the shots were on target, but Yotes keeper Matej Horn stopped each of them – including three in less than 10 seconds during a hectic sequence with 13 minutes left that represented SOU's best chance to break through.
The Raiders went to 9-2-2 overall and 4-2-1 in the Cascade Conference with five regular-season games left to play.
The Yotes (2-3-4, 2-3-3) have tied three consecutive games.
SOU keeper
Casey Ruvolo made two saves in his 27th career clean sheet. He didn't need to make any during the second half.
The Raiders will enter Saturday's 6:30 p.m. contest at first-place Eastern Oregon sitting in fourth on the conference table.
