10/22/2025 12:27:00 PM

ASHLAND – The Southern Oregon women's basketball team checked in at No. 15 in the NAIA Top 25 preseason coaches' poll, released Wednesday by the national office.

Coming off a 34-1 season and an NAIA Tournament quarterfinal appearance, the Raiders have been included in every poll since November of 2023. They were No. 2 in the final Top 25 of 2024-25.

Fifth-year head coach Carlotta Kloppenburg-Pruitt's team debuts in Butte, Mont., at the Peggy Sarsfield Basketball Weekend, playing host Montana Tech on Oct. 31 and Montana Western on Nov. 1. The Raiders retained a spot in the rankings despite losing four starters and were picked third in last week's Cascade Conference preseason poll.

The CCC is also represented in the Top 25 by No. 7 Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) and No. 14 Oregon Tech. Defending NAIA champion Dordt (Iowa) is the unanimous No. 1 team.

The first poll of the regular season will be released Nov. 12, the week after the Raiders play their Nov. 6-7 home openers.
