McIntyre, Southern Oregon light up Park

KLAMATH FALLS – Senior guard Bridgette McIntyre's short-lived shooting slump was a distant memory in Southern Oregon's 87-67 win against Park (Ariz.) on Friday afternoon at Danny Miles Court.

McIntyre drilled her first four 3-point tries in a 23-point performance, finishing 7-of-11 from deep while adding four assists and two steals. The Raiders made 13 triples and shot 52% overall as a team; they hadn't cracked 40% from the field in any of their four previous games.

They led by as many as 35 points after putting up 53 in the first half of their third consecutive victory, improving to 3-2 overall. The Buccaneers fell to 2-3.

Several others came along for the ride with McIntyre. Eliza DiGiulio went 7-of-12 with 15 points, six rebounds and three assists. Sage Winslow posted 15 points, eight rebounds, five assists and five steals off the bench. Alex Bullock had season-highs of 10 points and seven rebounds, and Keeley Wright supplied eight points and on 4-of-4 shooting and career-highs of eight assists and seven boards.

McIntyre, the Cascade Conference's top 3-point shooter a year ago, had never previously made more than six in a game as a Raider. She hit five in the first half alone against Park. After going 3-of-21 downtown in back-to-back losses to open the season, she's gone 16-of-33 during the winning streak.

SOU's starting unit, which also included freshman Millie Day, went 25-of-37 combined from the field.

Symirah Gray led Park with 16 points off the bench.

The Raiders travel to face a pair of NCAA Division II opponents next week, visiting Chico State (Calif.) on Tuesday and Cal Poly Pomona (Calif.) on Saturday.
