SALEM – The No. 5-ranked Corban volleyball team slowed down Southern Oregon in a 25-12, 25-18, 25-13 Cascade Conference sweep on Friday night at the C.E. Jeffers Center.
Emma Bischoff put down 13 kills on 21 attempts and had 10 digs for the Warriors (22-4 overall, 16-3 CCC) as they attacked at an efficient .390 team average.
With one match remaining on the regular-season schedule, the loss left the Raiders (13-13, 10-9) in a tie for sixth place with Walla Walla (Wash.). The teams are now guaranteed to meet in Tuesday's play-in round of the CCC Tournament, but the Wolves own the head-to-head tiebreaker. For the Raiders to get the No. 6 seed and homecourt advantage, they'll need a win Saturday at No. 20 Bushnell and for Walla Walla to lose on Sunday at No. 1 Eastern Oregon.
Eleven of SOU's 13 losses have now come against teams currently among the NAIA Top 25.
Junior middle
Tessa Zimmermann led the Raiders against Corban with eight kills and no errors on 16 attempts.

Makayla Roginski, the reigning CCC Attacker of the Week, added nine kills on a .533 clip to the Warriors' cause. As a team, they compiled 42 kills compared to just 10 errors.
SOU's matchup with Bushnell is set for 4 p.m. Saturday in Eugene.
