REDDING, Calif. – The No. 7-ranked Southern Oregon men's wrestling team won 18 of 20 matches and scored bonus points in 12 of them while blowing out San Francisco State, 36-6, and Simpson (Calif.), 50-0, in back-to-back duals Thursday at Enterprise High School.

Sophomore 174-pounder Jackson Potts and senior 184-pounder Adrian Chavez-Morales notched pins in both victories for the Raiders, who improved to 3-0 and have now outscored their opponents 123-13 combined.

The Raiders won the first five matches against SF State to get out to an 18-0 lead and top the Gators head-to-head for the third consecutive meeting. The top half of their lineup was perfect on the day – No. 9 Isaac Hampton (125) with a decision and a technical fall, No. 16 Dylan Clark (133) with a decision and a pin, Tyler Rhue (141) with a tech and a win by fall, No. 10 Kolton Malone (149) with a major decision and a pin, and No. 19 Avant Stepherson (157) with a pair of decisions.

Asher Ruchti, SOU's No. 2-ranked 197-pounder, upped his record to 8-0 with a 12-point day. After accepting a forfeit against SF State, he finished Simpson's Xavier Areceneaux by fall in the second round.

Cole Zoller (165) and Sebastian Echeverria (285) padded the score with decisions against Simpson. The Raiders' point total in that dual was their highest against a Cascade Conference opponent since they put 60 on Evergreen (Wash.) two years ago, which was also their last shutout.

The Raiders compete again Sunday at the Clackamas Open. They'll return to dual action next week, traveling to Cal Poly Humboldt on Dec. 12 before making their home debut at 4 p.m. on Dec. 13 against Arizona Christian.
