McInytre matches 3-point record, Raiders move back into 1st place

ASHLAND — Bridgette McIntyre was all smiles this Valentine's Day, tying a school record with 10 3-pointers and scoring 34 points on her senior night to lead Southern Oregon in an 88-43 win against Warner Pacific on Saturday afternoon at Lithia Motors Pavilion.

McIntyre shot 12-of-19 from the floor and 10-of-16 from 3 to match her career high in points. Her 10 3s on the night tied the single-game record set by former Raider and now assistant coach Sierra Scheppele on Jan. 19, 2024, in Lithia Motors Pavilion. The senior guard currently ranks third in the nation this season with 87 made 3-pointers, just three behind the NAIA lead (90).

The Raiders improved to 19-7 overall and 14-4 in the Cascade Conference, moving back into a five-way tie for first place entering the final week of the regular season. They share the top spot in the rankings with Eastern Oregon, Corban, Lewis-Clark State (Idaho), and Oregon Tech.

Senior Eliza DiGiulio added 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting and a perfect 3-of-3 night from beyond the arc, along with three assists, two steals and two rebounds. Sage Winslow had 11 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals, and Lydia Traore posted 11 rebounds, seven points and four blocks.

Keeley Wright had nine assists – giving out five of them to McIntyre – five points and a steal. Senior Shakia Teague-Perry made her second start of the season and ended with five points and two rebounds.

SOU outscored Warner Pacific 17-5 in second-chance points and won the turnover battle 12-20. Led by McIntyre, they finished the night shooting 55.2% from 3-point range, their highest clip of the season.

They travel next weekend to face Eastern Oregon (22-4 overall, 14-4 CCC) on Friday and College of Idaho (19-7, 13-5) on Saturday.
