PORTLAND — The No. 6-ranked Southern Oregon softball team finished a drumming of Warner Pacific on Saturday, winning 9-0 and 11-0 at Milwaukie High.
In Game 1, Ayla Davies (17-7) matched a career high in strikeouts, retiring 15 batters in seven innings of work. The Raiders (35-13 overall, 15-8 CCC) recorded seven hits and six runs in the final inning of play alone, capitalized by a Glory Pistole 3 RBI homer that brought in Avery Coffin and Lexi Ramirez.
Brooke Nordahl put SOU on the board in the third, doubling to center field to bring in Vanessa Lang. The junior also brought in Kalea Thomas in both the fifth and seventh, finishing with three RBIs and two hits.

The Raiders scored in every inning except the third and Lang and Thomas had three hits apiece. Thomas, a Foothill High graduate, ended her day with a two RBI triple to left center in the fifth, giving SOU a 10-0 lead. Lang then singled to left field, bringing in Thomas for the final run of the afternoon.
SOU plays two more games against the Knights, starting at 11 a.m. Sunday.
