Agustin Gannat avenged an early miscue with an equalizing goal as the Southern Oregon men's soccer team salvaged a 1-1 tie against The Master's (Calif.) on Thursday afternoon at Raider Stadium.
Less than three minutes into their home opener, the Raiders gifted Mustangs All-American Trent Rickard an uncontested strike when he intercepted Gannat's errant pass in space on the back line. Rickard capitalized with his fifth goal of the season, but in the 32nd minute Gannat got even by heading in a ball served into the box by Cruz Cuevas George.
The Raiders remained unbeaten at 2-0-1. They still haven't dropped a non-conference regular season game since 2024.
The Mustangs, who two days earlier put a 7-1 defeat on College of Idaho behind four Rickard goals, went to 1-2-1. They were happy to leave with a draw after Michael Masimango's second yellow card forced them to play a man down for the final 40 minutes.
Gannat's goal was the third of his SOU career. He accounted for two of the six shots put on frame by the Raiders.

The Raiders are home again Friday to face another Great Southwest Athletic Conference opponent, Arizona Christian, at 1 p.m.
