2016: Redshirted due to injury... Transitioned to the safety position during 2017 spring practice.

2015: Appeared in every game and started seven at outside linebacker during his first year in the program... Made 56 tackles, including 47 solo and seven for losses... Also had one sack, two recovered fumbles and three pass break-ups... Recorded a season-high nine tackles (eight solo) in SOU's overtime win over Carroll on Oct. 17.

Prior to SOU: Started his collegiate career at University of Oregon, where he redshirted the 2012 season and appeared in 11 games as a freshman in 2013... Transferred to Illinois State, where he made 63 tackles and intercepted two passes while starting 15 games and helping ISU to the NCAA FCS title game.

Personal: The son of James and Misty; has one brother and two sisters... Graduated in 2012 from Newport High... Was a 4A all-state selection at defensive end (first team) and quarterback (second team) at Newport, and also a two-time state champion in the triple jump and a state champ as a senior in the long jump... Majoring in political science with a minor in communications.
