2019 Track: Earned Academic All-Cascade Conference recognition… Redshirted.
2018 XC: Was the fifth and final scorer at the NAIA Championships for a Raider team that was fourth in the women’s standings and helped SOU win the combined title, placing 82nd of 340 overall in 18:37.4 on the 5K course… At the CCC Championships, took 19th of 74 (18:39.0) as SOU’s sixth finisher… Posted her top 5K time (18:30.2) at the William Jessup Invitational to place 16th of 99… Named to the Academic All-CCC team.
2018 Track: Scored at the CCC Championships with a sixth-place finish in the 1,500 with a season-best time of 4:50.34, and also took ninth in the 5K (18:54.17)… Recorded a best in the 5K of 18:49.88 while placing second at the Raider Invitational.
2017 XC: Debuted at Washington’s Sundodger Invitational and two weeks later posted a 6K time of 23:58.3 at Sacramento State’s Capital Cross Challenge.
High School: Graduated in 2017 from Long Beach Poly… Established personal bests of 17:51 in the 3-mile race, 5:15 in the mile and 11:29 in the 3,200… Helped her team to four consecutive Moore League cross country championships and seventh place at state (Division I) as a junior.
Personal: Born on Jan. 11, 1999 in Long Beach, California… Parents are Amelia Valinsky-Fillipow and Mike Fillipow; has a younger sister, Jacqueline… Majoring in criminal justice.
