Bo Howard begins his second season on staff with the Southern Oregon football team in 2016 after serving four years with the U.S. Air Force, a period that included a tour of duty in Afghanistan.
Howard, who is the son of head coach Craig Howard, started as as an assistant offensive line coach when he joined the Raiders in the spring of 2015. He has been promoted to running backs coach for the 2016 season.
At Nease High, he was a captain and teammate of Tim Tebow. In 2005, with his father at the helm, he helped deliver the school's first state championship.
Howard went on to play college football at University of Florida, where he was a member of the 2006 team that topped Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl to claim the NCAA title.
He and his wife, Tiffany, have two children: a son, Rockland (5), and a daughter, Dakota (3). The couple are expecting their third child this fall.
