Jack Singler

Jack Singler begins his second year as Southern Oregon University’s running backs coach in 2018 after playing three years as a quarterback for the Raiders.

A local product of South Medford High, Singler joined the Raiders in 2014 after two years at De Anza College in Cupertino, California. He redshirted his first year, served as a backup in his second, and in 2016 took over as the starter three games in due to an injury – and went on to have one of the most prolific passing seasons in SOU history. He totaled 3,003 passing yards – the most in a season for a Raider quarterback not named Austin Dodge – with 23 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. His 300.3 passing yards per game ranked sixth in the NAIA.

Singler was also named to the Capital One Academic All-District 4 team by the College Sports Information Directors of America, designed to recognize student-athletes for their combined performance in the classroom and on the field. He was a three-year member of the Academic All-Frontier Conference team, too.

Singler attained a bachelor’s degree from SOU's school of business.

Singler is the son of Leah and Bill. An ex-SOU offensive coordinator, Bill is South Medford’s longtime head football coach. Jack’s older brother, Mitch, is also currently an assistant at Oregon State with offensive quality control and running backs coach titles.
