2022: Cracked SOU's two-deep depth chart every week of the season as a backup safety and also contributed to the special teams ... Finished with six solo and six assisted tackles and and had a career-high three against Montana Western and Carroll.

2021: Named to the Academic All-Frontier Conference team ... Broke in as a defensive back and made his first two career tackles on Nov. 6 at Carroll.

2020: No season due to Covid-19.

2019: Contributed primarily on the practice squad. 

2018: Redshirted.

Personal: Born on Sept. 5, 1999 in Hilo, Hawaii ... The son of Tiffany Dela Cruz and Ryan Kekuawela ... Has two younger sisters, Maluhia and Nahiena ... Majoring in communications.

High School: Graduated in 2018 from Kamehameha High ... A four-year letterwinner at defensive back ... Was selected to the division 2 all-state first team as a junior and senior, and to to the second team as a sophomore... Also competed in soccer, winning a state championship as a senior, and canoe paddling.
