Prior to SOU: Played quarterback in 2016 at Cerritos College (Calif.), completing 123 of his 217 attempts (57%) for 1,529 yards, 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions... Started his collegiate career at Oregon State, redshirting in 2014 and starting five games at quarterback in 2015... Completed 51 of 113 passes for 571 yards and three TDs with four interceptions, including a season-best game at Utah in which went 19-of-35 for 204 yards and a 74-yard TD... Arrived at prior to 2017 spring practice and was moved to linebacker.

High School: Graduated in 2014 from Mount Si High, where he set school records for season and career TD passes, completions, passing yards and total offense... In his junior and senior seasons, combined for 56 TD passes and 4,395 passing yards... Garnered Seattle Times All-Area first-team and Associated Press All-State second-team recognition.

Personal: Born on Dec. 25, 1995 in Little Rock, Ark... Parents are Rhonda and Jeffrey... Has two older brothers -- Taylor, a former linebacker at Humboldt State, and Josh, a former starting center at Oregon State (with whom Nick played) -- and a younger brother, Caleb, who is a linebacker/long-snapper at Montana... Also has a younger sister, Sara Kaitlyn... Majoring in sociology with a minor in business, and comes to SOU with a 3.7 grade-point average.
