Biography
2020: Was in the lineup all 26 games of the shortened season and ranked first in the NAIA in doubles (14), fifth in hits (39) and sixth in RBIs (31)... Batted .481 with 24 runs scored and a .538 on-base percentage... Threw out four of 16 attempted base-stealers.... Was named to the Academic All-Cascade Conference team.
2019: Earned NAIA All-America first team, All-Cascade Conference first team, CCC Newcomer of the Year and CCC Gold Glove plaudits... Started all 60 games as the team's primary catcher, batting .409 with 69 runs scored, 54 RBIs, 32 extra-base hits (No. 2 in SOU history) and a .496 on-base percentage... Broke a conference record with 25 doubles and a Raider record by throwing out 17 of 30 attempted base-stealers, and ranked fourth in the NAIA in runs scored... Put together a 34-game on-base streak, the second-longest for any Raider ever, and had a 12-game hitting streak in which she went 21-for-42... Batted .361 during the postseason (13-for-36) with 10 runs scored and six walks... Was voted the NAIA Player of the Week on April 9 after going 9-for-11 with seven doubles, five walks and nine runs scored in a series with British Columbia, setting an SOU record for doubles in a game with four in Game 2 against the Thunderbirds... Registered 22 multi-hit games, including three with four hits and six with three... Struck out just twice in 240 plate appearances.
Prior to SOU: Competed in 2017 and ’18 at San Mateo College… Following her freshman season was recognized as an NFCA All-American, a first-team conference all-star and a member of the all-state tournament team, and repeated the accolades as a sophomore while adding All-State North and Coast Conference Player of the Year awards … Finished with a .465 average and a .531 on-base percentage, and didn’t strike out in 179 plate appearances… Had 16 doubles, five home runs, a triple, 53 runs scored and 39 RBI… As a freshman, batted .466 average with 23 doubles, six home runs, three triples, 56 runs and 41 RBI ... The 23 doubles tied the program record … In two seasons, stole 21 bases on 24 attempts and only struck out three times.
Personal: Born on Jan. 20, 1998 in Burlingame, California... Parents are Terri and Dave Stines...Has three brothers, Tony, Buddy and Max, and a sister, Sara, along with brother-in-law Ryan and sister-in-law Lauren... Majoring in health and physical education.
High School: Graduated in 2016 from Capuchino High, where she was selected as the Female Athlete of the Year as a senior... Was voted to the all-league first team three times and named the co-player of the year as a junior... Also lettered in basketball and volleyball.
