Biography
2019 Track: Placed 11th in the 10K (43:00.87) in her Cascade Conference Championships debut… Posted season-bests of 19:47.41 in the 5K (Humboldt Invitational) and 42:04.00 in the 10K (Jenn Boyman Invitational).
2018 XC: Debuted for the Raiders at the Cascade Conference Preview Meet with a 20:25 5K time… Ran her best 6K (24:12.8) at the Lewis & Clark Invitational and her best 5K (20:14.3) at the William Jessup Invite.
Prior to SOU: Attended Sierra College (Calif.) as a freshman and sophomore from 2016-18 and was on the President’s List both years… Was limited during her final season due to injury but still recorded personal bests in the 1,500 (5:19) and 5K (19:41)… As a freshman, scored for Sierra in the 1,500 at the Big 8 Conference meet with a third-place finish… Received Sierra’s Most Improved Athlete award… Was a bible study leader in Intervarsity Christian Fellowship.
High School: Graduated from Forest Lake Christian High, where she was a perennial honor roll student, in 2016… Was twice an all-league cross country runner, running her fastest 5K in 22:19 as a senior… Became the school’s 3,200-meter record-holder (13:30.74) at the Sac-Joaquin Div. 4-5 section finals…
Personal: Born on March 28, 1998 in Sacramento, California… The daughter of Amy and Daniel Negus… Has two older brothers, Donald and Charles… Majoring in English.
