Meghan de los Reyes, a native of Dalton, Mass., begins her third season on the Southern Oregon women’s basketball staff in 2017-18.
Also a physical education teacher at Ashland Middle School, De los Reyes arrived at SOU prior to the 2015-16 season after spending four years at Hoosac Valley High in Cheshire, Mass. There, she served as a P.E. teacher and was an assistant coach for a team that played in two state title games.
De los Reyes earned a bachelor’s degree in biology/pre-medicine at Boston College in 2006. She was a practice player for the women’s basketball team at BC, but decided to use her final year of NCAA eligibility at University of Alaska Anchorage while completing a master’s degree in public health in 2006-07.
She started her coaching career an assistant at Alaska Anchorage in 2008-09, when the Seawolves set a school record for wins with a record of 31-4 and advanced to the NCAA Division II Final Four.
She and her husband, Glen, have been married since 2012 and reside in Medford.
