2017: A backup safety in his first year with the Raiders... Got his first start on in the season-opener, Sept. 2 at Eastern Oregon, and made a season-high seven tackles... Was credited with 17 tackles on the season (15 solo) with one for a loss.

Prior to SOU: Attended and competed at Chaffey Community College in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., as a sophomore in 2016-17... Spent the 2015 season at Sacramento City College.

High School: Graduated in 2014 from Inderkum High, where he was a standout football and basketball player... Earned all-conference recognition during his senior season, playing running back, cornerback and safety.

Personal: Born on March 17, 1996 in Torrence, California... The son of Tina and Frankie Dean; has a younger sister, Aubri... Intends to study pre-medicine.
