Kori Iverson begins her sixth season and second stint as an assistant coach for the Southern Oregon University volleyball team in 2024.
With the Raiders, Iverson serves as in-game analyst and director of operations and recruiting. The Newport, Ore., product was previously at SOU from 2016-20, and in ’18 was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association’s Northwest Region Assistant Coach of the Year.
Prior to her return, she spent two seasons with the North Pacific Juniors Volleyball Club. There, she was head coach of a 17s team that qualified for the Girls Junior National USAV Championships.
Iverson was part of the best two-year run in SOU history from 2018-19, when the Raiders won back-to-back Cascade Conference regular-season and tournament championships and combined to go 61-9. In 2018 they advanced to the NAIA Championships quarterfinal round for the first time and landed the team’s top final ranking at No. 8, and in ’19 they wrapped at No. 9 in the polls after an NAIA Championships Round of 16 appearance.
Iverson got her start in coaching as an assistant from 2010-13 at Linn-Benton C.C., where she also played from 2006-07.
