Associate Head Coach Paul Rademacher enters his second season with the blossoming Southern Oregon University women’s wrestling program in 2018-19.
Rademacher, a former wrestler at Oregon State University, was hired in October of 2017 to work under SOU Director of Wrestling Mike Ritchey. Prior to his arrival in Ashland, he served for two seasons as the boys and girls head wrestling coach at Henley High School in Klamath Falls. Previously, he was in charge of both programs at Mount Vernon High in Washington.
A 1999 graduate of Chiloquin High, Rademacher competed from 1999-2003 at OSU, where he was a member of the Pac-10 All-Academic second team. He continued to compete post-collegiately, and in 2014 placed second in the Veteran’s Greco Roman Division B 76-kilogram class and third in the Veteran’s Freestyle Division B 76-kilogram class.
In his first season at SOU, the Raiders went 5-6 in dual action, placed 12th at the Women’s College Wrestling Association Championships and produced two freshman All-Americans: Olivia Ioppolo and Sienna Ramirez.
Rademacher and his wife, Gretchen, have been married since 2004.
