2023-24: Became an All-American with an eighth-place finish at the NAIA Championships in the 174-pound bracket ... Placed fourth at the Cascade Conference Championships in a bracket that featured seven of the NAIA's top-15 individuals ... Finished as SOU's wins leader at 32-10 overall with a 15-2 record in dual matches ... Entered the national tournament as a No. 9 seed and placed by upsetting the No. 6 seed in consolation action ... Logged five wins at the Reno Tournament of Champions, coming up one short of placing.

2022-23: Earned All-Cascade Conference honors in his first season with the Raiders by placing third in the 174-pound bracket at the CCC Championships with four straight consolation wins (including three by fall against ranked opponents) ... Earned the No. 7 seed for the NAIA Championships ... Finished at 24-9 overall with an 11-3 record in dual matches ... Was voted the CCC Wrestler of the Week after keying SOU's upset of then-No. 7 Eastern Oregon with a win over the No. 10-ranked wrestler in the NAIA.

Prior to SOU: Wrestled two seasons (but was not charged a year of eligibility) at University of Arkansas at Little Rock, which was part of the Pac-12 in wrestling ... Posted a 7-13 overall record and was twice named to the Academic All-Pac-12 Conference team.

Personal: The son of Gerardo and Yvette ... Has two older siblings, Kikis and Ivan ... Majoring in health and exercise science.

High School: Graduated in 2020 from Poway High, where his top finish at the state championships was fourth place.
