Prior to SOU: Started his career at Luther College (Iowa) in 2019-20 and attended Fresno City College from 2020-23, helping FCC to a state championship in his final season.
Personal: Born on Dec. 21, 2000 in New Orleans, Louisiana ... The son of Laura Sweningson and Reynaldo Cruz ... Has an older sister, Ariana (a former softball player at Jackson State), and four younger brothers: Alonzo, Reynaldo II, Andrew and Orlando ... Majoring in psychology.
High School: Graduated in 2019 from Dos Pueblos High, where as a senior he was a league champion and CIF finalist at 152 pounds, and as a sophomore was a league champion at 120 ... Also starred on the Dos Pueblos football team as a defensive player of the year.
