Southern Oregon senior running back
Marlon Rosales (San Jose, Calif./Santa Teresa) has been named the Independent Offensive Player of the Week.
Rosales earned the award after going for a career-best 166 yards in a 31-23 setback at Willamette last Saturday. Rosales scored one touchdown, had a long run of 54 yards and averaged 6.1 yards per carry on 27 rushes.
This marks the fourth straight week that an SOU athlete as been honored as Independent Offensive, Defensive or Special Teams Player of the Week.
Azusa Pacific's Beau Leaman and Corey Lenahan were named Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week.
There are 10 schools that compete as Independents in the NAIA.
