Six members of the Southern Oregon women's and men's basketball teams have been named to the Academic All-Cascade Conference team.

To earn recognition as a CCC Scholar-Athlete, the student-athletes must have a minimum cumulation grade point average of 3.2 and be at least a sophomore.

In all, 66 basketball players in the conference were honored.

Ashley Baker, Emily Brookins, Lindsey Scheffler, Whitney Scott and Carly Wood earned the honor for the women's basketball team.

Josh McDermott (Ashland, Ore./Ashland) earned the honor for the SOU men's team.

The Raiders play their final regular season home game Friday when they host Northwest Christian. The women's game starts at 5:30 p.m. and the men's game follows at 7:30 p.m.
