ASHLAND – Autumn Durand, Southern Oregon's all-star senior forward, was named the Cascade Conference women's basketball player of the week and the MVP of the Santa Cruz December Classic on Monday following a monster weekend.

Durand led the fifth-ranked Raiders (6-1 overall) to three wins, first recording 14 points, 11 rebounds and two steals Thursday at Pacific Union. On Saturday and Sunday at the December Classic, where SOU defeated Pomona-Pitzer and La Verne, she scored 55 points – her highest-ever two-game total.

Saturday's 28-point, 14-rebound performance against Pomona-Pitzer marked her fourth straight double-double, and the 14 rebounds matched a career high.

Going into Cascade Conference play this weekend, Durand leads the CCC in points per game (18.6) and ranks second in rebounds (10.3).

Sydney Mullings was also named to the All-Tournament team after tallying 13 points, 10 rebounds, four steals and three blocks against Pomona-Pitzer and 10 points, 10 rebounds and three assists against La Verne.

SOU plays Friday at Corban (6-2) and Saturday at Northwest Christian (2-5). Both games tip off at 5:30 p.m.
