The Southern Oregon volleyball team got 10 kills from senior Mia Wortel (Estacada, Ore./Estacada) as they scored a 25-18, 25-19, 25-14 victory over Cascade College tonight in Portland.

The Raiders have now won eight straight matches and improved to 11-7 overall and 9-1 in Cascade Conference matches. Cascade fell to 5-11 overall and 1-9 in conference action.

Wortel finished with 10 kills and just two errors in 14 attempts. Junior setter Lindsey Stone (Ashland, Ore./Ashland) finished with 38 assists as the Raiders finished the match hitting .322. Leanne Stennett (Encinitas, Calif./San Dieguito) had seven kills and just one error for the Raiders. Maggie Rivers (Salem, Ore./McNary) had match-high eight digs.

SOU returns home to face Northwest (Friday) and Evergreen State (Saturday).
