SOU-Northwest Boxscore

The Southern Oregon University volleyball team hit .349 as a team and cruised to a 25-15, 25-12, 25-18 sweep of Northwest University tonight in Kirkland, Wash.

The Raiders have now won two straight and are 5-7 overall and 3-1 in Cascade Conference play. Northwest fell to 3-8 overall and 0-4 overall.

SOU returns to McNeal Pavilion next weekend when they host Concordia (Friday) and Corban (Saturday).
Senior Mia Wortel (Estacada, Ore./Estacada) led the Raiders with nine kills and just one error to go along with seven blocks. Sophomore Samantha Yutzie also had nine kills.

The Raiders impressive night swinging was highlighted by a .500 effort in the second set which featured 15 kills and just two errors in 26 attempts.

Lindsey Stone (Ashland, Ore./Ashland) had 22 assists for the Raiders and Maggie Rivers (Salem, Ore./McNary) had eight digs.

Lauren Holtz led Northwest with nine kills.
