The second-ranked Southern Oregon wrestling team only gave up a forfeit as they cruised to a 44-6 victory over Pacific University tonight at Forest Grove.

The Raiders improved to 17-1 in duals on the season. Pacific dropped to 1-11 on the season. SOU takes part in Pacific's Boxer Open Saturday.

SOU quickly jumped out to a 14-0 lead after three matches. Jared Dalgleish (Kelso, Wash./Kelso) scored a 11-4 decision at 125 pounds, followed by a technical fall victory by Mitchell Lofstedt (Roseburg, Ore./Roseburg) at 133 and a pin by second-ranked Barry Johnson (Dayton, Ore./Dayton) at 141.

Austin Vanderford (Ninilchik, Alaska/Ninilchik) scored a victory by fall for the Raiders at 165 and SOU won three matches by forfeit during the dual.

Pacific's lone victory came as a result of an SOU forfeit at 184.

Southern Oregon has won 13 straight over the Boxers dating back to the 1999-2000 season and will have a chance to bump that streak up to 14 when they host the Boxers at McNeal Pavilion on Feb.14.
