The second-ranked Southern Oregon wrestling team came away with three individual titles and finished second as a team at Sunday's Menlo Invitational.

St. Cloud State won the team title with 184 points, while SOU was second at 163.

St. Cloud State is ranked 12th in the latest NCAA Division II rankings.

Chris Platt (Eagle Point, Ore./Eagle Point), Mitchell Lofstedt (Roseburg, Ore./Roseburg) and John Bates (Oregon City, Ore./Oregon City) all claimed individual titles for the Raiders.

Platt won at 184 pounds in impressive fashion. In the semis, Platt knocked off the NAIA's top-ranked Travis DeGroat with a pin in 4:18 and then in the finals he defeated NCAA Division II third-ranked Brad Padgett of St. Cloud State 3-2. Platt was named the tournament's Outstanding Upper Weight Wrestler.

Lofstedt defeated second-ranked Jose Hernandez 3-2 in the finals at 125. Bates defeated top-seed David Morgan of Cal State Bakersfield.

Tommie Hooper (Burns, Ore./Burns) (157) and Shaun Ceremello (Clovis, Calif./Clovis) (174) both came away with second place finishes.
