Southern Oregon's
Sarah Holgen (Honolulu, Hawaii/Ashland) had a perfect night hitting and double-digit digs to lead the 12th-ranked Raiders past Warner Pacific 25-19, 25-17, 25-19 tonight in Portland.
Southern Oregon won its ninth-straight and improved to 18-2 overall and 12-1 in Cascade Conference play. Warner Pacific dropped to 8-10 overall and 4-8 in conference matches.
Holgen led the SOU attack with 10 kills and no errors for a .714 attack percentage and also added a match-high 14 digs.
Natalie Scheller (Bend, Ore./Bend) added eight kills, while
Heather Porter (Coos Bay, Ore./Marshfield) had seven kills and
Megan Bartling (Medford, Ore./North Medford) and
Leah Bergstrom (West Linn, Ore./West Linn) both had six kills.
Leanne Stennett (Encinitas, Calif./San Dieguito) had 10 digs.
The Raiders held the Knights to a .132 attack percentage, including a .074 effort in the final set.
Southern Oregon hosts Oregon Tech Friday night.
