The fifth-ranked Southern Oregon wrestling team locked up its 40th-straight winning season today by going 2-1 at the Mile High Duals in Prescott, Ariz.

Southern Oregon (12-6) opened the day with a 24-15 setback to Cal Baptist, then came right back to knock off Simon Fraser 27-14 and finished the off the day with a 29-12 victory over NCAA Division II CSU-Pueblo.

In the setback to Cal Baptist, the Raiders held a 16-15 lead over Cal Baptist with two matches remaining - but dropped both of those matches to come out on the losing end.

The Raiders blew open a close match with Simon Fraser by closing the dual with a pin by Mitchell Lofstedt (Roseburg, Ore./Roseburg) and a major decision victory by Brian Jacob (Tillamook, Ore./Tillamook).

Southern Oregon won three of the last four matches against CSU-Pueblo, including pins by Lofstedt and Jacob.

Austin Vanderford (Ninilchik, Alaska/Ninilchik) and Ron Lee both went a perfect 3-0 for the Raiders. Southern Oregon takes part in the Mile High Open Sunday.
