The 17th-ranked Southern Oregon volleyball team held Oregon Tech to a .016 attack percentage en route to a 25-19, 25-18, 25-16 victory tonight in Klamath Falls.
Southern Oregon improved to 16-3 overall and 13-1 in Cascade Conference play. The Raiders are now off until next weekend when they travel to Corban and Northwest Christian.
In the Raiders' fourth-straight victory, SOU held Oregon Tech to 28 kills and 26 errors.
Junior
Sarah Holgen (Honolulu, Hawaii/Ashland) led SOU with a double-double with 14 kills and 15 digs. Junior
Megan Bartling (Medford, Ore./North Medford) continued her red-hot play, going for 10 kills and no errors for a .556 attack percentage.
All-American setter
Lindsey Stone (Ashland, Ore./Ashland) had a match-high 35 assists and
Becky Johnstone (Lake Arrowhead, Calif./Rim of the World) finished with 22 digs. Junior
Lauren Swetland (Cottonwood, Calif./West Valley) had seven blocks.
Southern Oregon's victory was helped along with fast starts in each set. SOU had a 5-0 lead in the first set, a 6-3 lead in the second set and leads of 5-0 and 12-4 in the final set.
