Pins by Kyle Wirkuty (Portland, Ore./Centennial) and Robert Ross (Medford, Ore./North Medford) helped the 11th-ranked Southern Oregon wrestling team roll to a 40-10 victory over Pacific tonight in Forest Grove.

Southern Oregon improved to 1-1 on the season and will travel to the Cal Poly Duals on Dec. 17 and the Reno Tournament of Champions on Dec. 19.

The Raiders opened the dual with three straight forfeit victories before sophomore Jimmy Eggemeyer (Kodiak, Alaska/Kodiak) made the score 24-0 with a 31 second pin at 149 pounds.

After Pacific earned a major decision victory at 157, the Raiders scored a victory by Justin Mills (Lakeport, Calif./Clear Lake) at 165 and a major decision victory by Austin Vanderford (Ninilchik, Alaska/Ninilchik) at 174 to go ahead 31-4.

SOU forfeited the matchup at 184, then closed out the dual with a Jacob Abrams (The Dalles, Ore./The Dalles-Wahtonka) victory at 197 and a pin by Robert Ross (Medford, Ore./North Medford) in the heavyweight matchup.
