Box Score OLYMPIA, Wash. – The Southern Oregon University volleyball team can breathe easy. A weekend of potential trap-matches turned into just another weekend.

The Raiders disposed of Evergreen on Saturday night, 25-17, 25-18 and 25-17, completing a successful road trip to Washington and a tour of the bottom of the Cascade Conference with their seventh straight win.

Paulla Pinheiro (Fortaleza, Brazil/Colegio Farias Brito) led the way for the second straight night with 14 kills and eight digs and Lauren McGowne (Coos Bay, Ore./Marshfield) posted 36 assists for the Raiders (14-7 overall, 11-3 CCC), who thereby set up a monster week ahead against first- and second-place Eastern Oregon and College of Idaho in Ashland.

Evergreen (4-15, 3-11) has dropped 46 straight sets at the hands of SOU.

Nikki Keller (Carson City, Nev./Carson) had eight kills on a .462 attacking average and Abbie Hanser (Billings, Mont./Billings Central Catholic) had four kills on seven swings with four assisted blocks, shoring up a middle-blocker position that was without the top hitter in the league, Emma Gasman (Clovis, Calif./Buchanan), all weekend. Mona Goudarzian (Albany, Ore./West Albany) had 10 kills on 23 swings and Renee Yomtob (Boise, Idaho/Centennial)'s 12 digs were a match-high.

The Geoducks were led by Meredith Gurr's 13 kills but no one else had more than five.

Concordia lost on Friday and Saturday, giving the Raiders a two-match lead all alone in third place. They're one match behind C of I and two behind Eastern.
