ASHLAND – Three days after sweeping Northwest Christian in a Senior Day doubleheader, the Southern Oregon softball team will head to Eugene Tuesday for a season-ending doubleheader rematch against the Beacons.

The Raiders improved to 18-21 overall and 14-12 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play on Saturday when they defeated Northwest Christian 6-0 and 5-4. Tuesday's doubleheader will make up the previously scheduled doubleheader from March 22, which was postponed due to weather and field condition concerns. Live stats will be available courtesy of the NCU athletic department, with links available on the SOU athletics website.

As the eight CCC programs close out the softball season in the coming week, the Raiders will conclude the 2013 season Tuesday. Southern Oregon's postseason hopes came to an end Sunday afternoon when College of Idaho swept Concordia to end the regular season with a 17-11 conference record and clinch the fourth and final spot in the CCC Tournament. The Raiders will finish the year ranked fifth in the conference standings.

Southern Oregon's Jessica Flores (Corning, Calif./Corning) and Julia Willison (Reno, Nevada/McQueen) have been two of the top hitters during the conference season, with Flores batting .368 and Willson batting .333 Willison's .500 on base percentage ranks second in the league, and the SOU catcher has been hit by a pitch nine times, behind only teammate Stephanie Vandenbusch (Fremont, Calif./American), who has been hit 11 times during conference play. Freshman Sydney White (Clovis, Calif./Clovis West) has been one of the league's top pitchers, ranking first in innings pitched (105.1) and appearances while ranking second in strikeouts (73) and third in wins (10) and opponents' batting average (.226).

The Raiders have dominated the all-time series against Northwest Christian, with a 39-7 record against the Beacons. Southern Oregon has won 11 straight games in the series and has not lost to NCU since the 2010 season.
