ASHLAND – Southern Oregon landed at No. 5 in Wednesday's NAIA softball Top 25 coaches' poll, dropping two spots despite an active nine-game winning streak.

Oregon Tech (30-4 overall) became the third different Cascade Conference team this season to take over No. 1, replacing Eastern Oregon (25-5) in that spot. Madonna (Mich.) (28-2) and Oklahoma City (29-3) were tied at No. 2 and EOU fell to No. 4.

The Raiders stand at 29-9 overall and 10-5 in the CCC, three games behind first-place OIT in the conference standings. They're off this week before visiting the Owls for a four-game set April 10-11 in Klamath Falls.

During the Raiders' winning streak, they've outscored opponents 79-5 combined. They were one of six teams to receive first-place votes.
