FOREST GROVE – The Southern Oregon wrestling team's one-sided relationship with Pacific University stayed true to form Friday night at the Stoller Center.

Five pins paved the way to the sixth-ranked Raiders' 43-6 triumph, making them 4-2 in dual meets this season. Jacob Stigall (Hubbard, Ore./North Marion) (125 pounds), Trevor Hancock (Pendleton, Ore./Pendleton) (133), Travis Patrick (Castle Rock, Wash./Castle Rock) (157), Brock Gutches (Central Point, Ore./Crater) (174) and Taylor Johnson (Redmond, Ore./Redmond) (197) all won by fall.

Johnathon Gay (Clovis, Calif./Clovis)'s major decision at 141 pounds and Clayton Burtis (Colton, Ore./Colton)' forfeit win at heavyweight also got the Raiders bonus points. Tyler Cowger (Sweet Home, Ore./Sweet Home) (149) helped with a decision.

SOU is now 51-6 in the series against the Boxers (4-4 overall) and has taken 22 of the last 23 meetings.

Starting at 165 pounds, a couple of decisions won by Pacific's Bruce Balcita and Caleb Malychewski sandwiched Gutches' pin. Gutches, the NAIA's top-ranked 174-pounder, went to 17-3 this season by finishing off Michael Tyner in 2 minutes, 50 seconds.

After that, the Raiders won the last six contested classes. Johnson, Stigall and Hancock started the run by all pinning their opponents in the first round – Johnson over Chris Harlin, Stigall over Lucas Beltz and Hancock over Eric Harder.

Gay followed with a 13-5 major decision against Jeremiah Baker, Cowger took a 12-6 decision from Ryan Baxter, and Patrick finished the night with a fall against Shawn Speer in 2:27.

Cowger's record went to 12-5 and Gay's 11-6. Cowger's opponent had been 13-5 and Hancock's opponent's was 15-2.

The Raiders host Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) Thursday at 7 p.m. at Bob Riehm Arena in one of their two remaining home duals.
