ASHLAND – The Southern Oregon University men's soccer team was awarded a forfeit victory Tuesday afternoon for its previously scheduled game with Trinity Lutheran College (Wash.).

Originally the teams were slated to meet for the season-opener on Aug. 20 in Eugene, but Trinity Lutheran did not have enough NAIA-eligible players to compete at the time.

With the win, SOU's record goes to 3-0 on the season. The Raiders play this weekend in California, Saturday at William Jessup (1 p.m.) and Sunday at Pacific Union (1 p.m.).
