No. 5 Raiders pound Pacific Union, 83-46

ANGWIN, Calif. – With two double-doubles and nearly a couple more, fifth-ranked Southern Oregon bullied Pacific Union up and down the lineup Thursday night in an 83-46 win, the Raiders' fourth straight.

Autumn Durand recorded her third double-double in a row for the Raiders (4-1) with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Sydney Mullings had the other, totaling 10 points and 12 boards and a pair of blocks and steals, while Casey Williams (12 points, 9 rebounds) and Tiani Bradford (11 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists) weren't far off.

The Raiders – whose 45 rebounds per game coming into the night ranked ninth in the NAIA – outrebounded the Pioneers (0-7) 59-36, collecting 24 on the offensive glass, and matched a season-low with 12 turnovers. Those numbers, and PUC's 19-of-60 display from the field, neutralized SOU's subpar shooting night (32-of-88).

SOU started hot, going 11-of-21 in the first quarter, and was sparked by Williams, who converted her first three shots off the bench, on the way to a 26-12 lead. It was 50-24 by halftime and continued to stretch thanks to the Raider reserves, who contributed 35 points.

Daranda Hinkey scored 11 of those and Delaney Sparling added nine – both career-highs.

Demi Sahlinger had four of SOU's 16 steals and Williams had three.

The Raiders have won all 14 of their matchups with the Pioneers. They'll remain in California to play at the Santa Cruz December Classic, Saturday against Pomona-Pitzer and Sunday against La Verne.
