ASHLAND – The schedule is set for the first Cascade Conference Softball Tournament presented by U.S. Bank ever hosted by Southern Oregon University.

The six-team, double-elimination event is set to take place May 6-8 at University Field, with May 9 designated as a make-up day if necessary. The first- and second-place teams will receive the CCC's two automatic bids to the opening round of the 40-team NAIA Championships.
The 22nd-ranked Raiders (34-14 overall, 15-5 CCC West, 20-8 CCC Overall) earned the right to host by virtue of winning the West Division, their first title since 2005. Their first game will be at 2 p.m. on May 6 against the winner of the 9 a.m. game between Eastern Oregon and Corban. SOU went 0-6 against its potential first-game opponents during the regular season.

The last time postseason softball was played at University Field was 2005, when SOU hosted the NAIA Western Regional. The Raiders have never won the CCC tournament, which started up again in 2010 after taking place for the first time in 2006. This is the first year that the conference has been split into two divisions.
