Four Raiders make winter Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete list

ASHLAND – Three Southern Oregon University basketball players and a wrestler have been named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes, the last of which were announced Monday by the national office.

To earn recognition, one must be a junior or senior academically, have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or better, and have been enrolled their current institution for at least one year.

The Raider men's basketball team put senior business major Kenny Meyer and junior chemistry major Tristen Holmes on the list. The Raider women were represented by senior chemistry major Toria Bradford, and senior pre-physical therapy major Tanner Canaday represented the SOU men's wrestling team.

Bradford and Meyer both became two-time honorees. A total of 31 Raiders from the fall and winter teams have earned recognition this year.
