Tanner Fischer and
Max Hane built on their impressive résumés with back-to-back pins to end Southern Oregon's 30-16 win against Simpson (Calif.) on Thursday night in a Cascade Conference dual at Riehm Arena.
The 18th-ranked Raiders (5-6 overall) took four of five contests during the matchup. They forfeited two classes, the Redhawks conceded two and there was a double-forfeit at 133.
Fischer, SOU's fourth-ranked 197-pounder, put Jacob Gonsalves on his back within moments and earned the fall whistle 35 seconds into their bout. Fischer brought his record to 18-4 with a 9-1 mark in dual action.
Hane, the No. 20-ranked heavyweight in the NAIA, didn't need much longer to finish off Victor Moore. He is pin in 1:42 made him 8-2 in duals this season.
Elsewhere for the Raiders,
Justin Coon won for the second time in as many outings with a 9-5 defeat of Silas LaGroue at 141 pounds. At 165,
Cody Stahl controlled Layten Briggs for a 2-0 victory.
Bryce DeCamargo, ranked 16th nationally, collected Simpson's win with a 13-5 major decision over CJ McKinnis at 184 pounds.
The Raiders will be back to a full lineup when they travel to sixth-ranked Menlo (Calif.) for Friday's 7 p.m. tilt. They'll have their last home dual on Saturday, 7 p.m. against No. 20 Eastern Oregon.
