ASHLAND – Southern Oregon freshman
Sarah Mauk was voted the Cascade Conference's Red Lion Offensive Player of the Week for women's soccer, the league office announced on Monday.
Mauk, a forward/defender from Hillsboro, had the first five-point game for a Raider since 2015 in Sunday's 7-0 defeat of Multnomah, scoring two goals (including a penalty kick) and getting credit for one assist. She also scored the Raiders' final goal in their 3-0 win Friday against Warner Pacific, padding the lead just before halftime.
Mauk is up to four goals and one assist on the season, all of which have been tallied over SOU's last three games.
Winners of three straight, the Raiders (8-5-2 overall, 5-3-2 CCC) are sixth in the conference points standings heading into this weekend's final regular-season games at Evergreen (Wash.) and Northwest (Wash.). They've already clinched one of eight spots in the CCC Championships presented by U.S. Bank.
