PLAYOFF PICTURE: Southern Oregon has a top-two seed in the CCC Championships presented by U.S. Bank for the second year in a row after going 11-2-4 in the regular season to register the second-best winning percentage (.765) in team history. Now, as the Raiders attempt to reach the NAIA Championships in back-to-back years for the first time, the real work begins. Making their 16th consecutive CCC Tournament appearance, they've never before advanced to the final but likely need to this time around for their season to continue.

College of Idaho claimed the CCC's first automatic NAIA Championships bid by winning its fourth regular-season title – and by catching a major break during the last week of the regular season, when first-place (and previously unbeaten) Rocky Mountain (Mont.) retroactively forfeited its first three conference games due to use of an ineligible player. The CCC's second automatic bid will go to either the tournament champion or (if College of Idaho wins it) the runner-up. Crucially, thanks to their No. 2 seed, the Raiders wouldn't face College of Idaho until the final, meaning two advancements could get them that bid. Their at-large candidacy for the 40-team national tournament isn't currently as strong as it was last year, when they entered the postseason at No. 19 in the NAIA RPI. In this week's RPI, they were No. 46.

SOU vs. CORBAN: The Raiders take on No. 7 seed Corban (7-8-3 overall) at 10 a.m. in Saturday's quarterfinal round, two weeks after the teams met in Salem. SOU won that matchup, 3-2, by shrugging off a 1-0 deficit with three consecutive second-half goals. The Warriors, back in the tournament after a one-year absence, are seeking their first postseason advancement since 2019. They're fresh off their best win of the season, a 2-1 upset of No. 16-ranked Rocky Mountain that marked the Bears' first true loss of the season. They prevailed despite being significantly out-shot, 26-6.

Sophomore goalkeeper Jordyn Labajo has kept Corban competitive with an 84% save rate, making 12 stops against Rocky and nine in the first matchup with SOU, and the Warriors' balanced attack has produced 21 goals behind freshman Haley Miersma (6 goals, 2 assists). The Raiders are 6-0-1 in the teams' last seven meetings, but they've never taken out Corban in four all-time tournament contests – the most recent in 2017. Having outscored opponents 38-13 combined, they'll deploy an attack pushed by junior Ava Johnson (10 goals, 2 assists) and sophomore Tori Lasch (10 goals, 2 assists) while leaning on one of the NAIA's top keepers, Ashlyn Fuss (87% save rate).

The tournament is not bracketed, meaning the highest remaining seed will face the lowest remaining seed in Monday's semifinal round. Should the top seeds advance, the Raiders would play their semifinal at 1 p.m.

SOU TOURNAMENT HISTORY: Since the CCC Tournament adopted an eight-team format in 2015, the Raiders have advanced to the semifinals in seven of 10 appearances, including four of the last five years. In 2025, they cruised past Northwest (Wash.) in the quarterfinals before losing a penalty shootout to Eastern Oregon in the semis. In their five previous appearances this decade, the Raiders were eliminated three years in a row by College of Idaho and the last two by EOU. They'll be attempting to secure their third all-time NAIA Tournament spot.
