Iwami, Sparling team up for 10 3-pointers as Raiders rout Park

GILBERT, Ariz. –
Kalei Iwami and Delaney Sparling came off the bench to knock down five 3-pointers each and push Southern Oregon to a 76-45 thumping of Park (Ariz.) in the teams' first-ever matchup on Saturday night.

Iwami scored 17 points on 5-of-8 shooting from downtown, Sparling contributed 15 and Dominique Harding had eight points, a career-high 13 rebounds and three assists. Danasia Allison, Syd'Nee Fryer and Kenadee Honaker all had three steals, helping the Raiders force 25 turnovers.

The Raiders split their trip to Arizona, going to 4-3 in non-conference play. They're off until their Cascade Conference opener on Dec. 6 at Northwest (Wash.).

They wasted no time jumping on the Buccaneers (4-5), outscoring them 26-5 in the first quarter. They went into halftime up 37-17 and padded the lead with a 21-9 advantage in the fourth.

Park was held to 31-percent shooting from the field. Mailia Aguigui and Daniela Bernal both scored nine points but needed 15 combined field-goal attempts to get there.

Kami Walk recorded 13 points on 4-of-6 shooting and four rebounds for the Raiders. Fryer had six points, seven rebounds and three assists.
