ASHLAND – Freshmen Tanner Clark, Tanner Sallee and Noah Talavera accounted for Southern Oregon's total in a 28-9 dual loss to 11th-ranked Menlo (Calif.) on Thursday night at Riehm Arena.

The Oaks ran their record to 4-0 in the Cascade Conference matchup, taking seven of 10 contests and getting wins from all four nationally-ranked wrestlers in their lineup.

Menlo's Anthony Orozco, the NAIA's top-ranked 184-pounder, pinned Josh Hammers in 1 minute 8 seconds and eighth-ranked Joseph Dominguez (149) won by fall against Matt Peterson in 1:02. Fourth-ranked Riley Siason (125) and fifth-ranked Blaysen Terukina (133) started the night with back-to-back decisions as the Oaks eventually took a 19-0 lead by the dual's midpoint.

Talavera stopped the bleeding at 165 for the Raiders, improving to 4-1 in dual matches with a 5-3 defeat of Alex Garcia. Sallee followed that effort with his team-leading 11th victory of the season, handling Jordan Bernal in a 6-1 decision.

Clark finished the night with a 3-0 win over Ryan Enciso, finishing with a takedown in the final seconds to go to 4-3 in dual action.

The Raiders dropped to 3-5 overall. They'll be back in action Saturday at the Northwest Collegiate Duals in Albany.
