ASHLAND – Southern Oregon's
Emily Se has been voted the Cascade Conference WVT Laboratory Women's Wrestler of the Week, the CCC office announced Monday.
Se, the NAIA's No. 3-ranked wrestler at 130 pounds, won her first tournament championship of the season in the 136-pound bracket Saturday at the Women's West Coast Invitational.
The junior from Sacramento – who transferred from Emmanuel College (Mass.), where she was an All-American last season – went 4-0 with three wins by fall. The last was 4-minute, 51-second job against 16th-ranked Louisa Schwab of Menlo (Calif.).
She and the No. 3-ranked Raiders will be back in action Jan. 6-7 in Louisville, Ky., at the NWCA National Duals.
