ASHLAND – With four All-Americans back, the Southern Oregon University women's wrestling team was first in the Cascade Conference preseason coaches' poll released on Friday.

The Raiders picked up six of eight first-place votes, coming in ahead of defending champion Providence (Mont.) in the second spot and Eastern Oregon in the third.

They have the circuit's star attraction in junior 207-pounder Lillian Gradillas-Flores, who went unbeaten last season en route to a national title. Vida Boskovic (160 pounds) and Holland Wieber (145) were also top-four placers as the Raiders claimed sixth place as a team at the NAIA Championships.

They returned six of their 10 national qualifiers, including three more All-CCC finishers in Lia Ferreira (103), Jade Morales (131) and Myia Weiler (124). Second-year coach Katlyn Monroe's 14 additions include a two-time national qualifier in junior Yazmin Belk (180), who wrestled previously at Doane (Neb.).

SOU won the 2023 and '25 CCC Championships and was second with 147 points to Providence's 196.

The Raiders open Nov. 8 at the Menlo Open. They'll learn where they stand in the NAIA preseason rankings next week.
