ASHLAND – More shooting woes plagued the Southern Oregon men's basketball team in a 66-49 Cascade Conference loss to 15th-ranked College of Idaho on Saturday at Lithia Motors Pavilion.
The Raiders (4-7 overall, 1-2 CCC) wrapped up at 31 percent from the field and shot 6-of-22 from 3-point range against the Yotes' zone defense.
After taking their first lead at 18-17 on
Jayson McMillan's jumper midway through the first half, they immediately surrendered a 17-2 run and never recovered.
The Yotes improved to 8-3 overall and 2-1 in the CCC. They posted a 34-12 advantage on points in the paint behind Drew Wyman and Jake O'Neil, who scored 14 and 12 points, respectively.
Josh Meyer finished with 19 points, eight rebounds and three blocks for the Raiders, a night after scoring a season-high 26 in a last-second win over Eastern Oregon.
K'wan Carter scored seven and
Atmar Mundu hit a pair of 3-pointers off the bench.
Tez Allen chipped in six assists and five rebounds.
The Raiders trailed 34-22 at halftime and never got within single digits in the second half.
They'll continue their homestand on Dec. 17 against Bushnell, tipping off at 7:30 p.m.
